Gender based violence has been increasingly recognized as a serious Health, Human Rights abuse and a development concern. Studies and surveys carried out in Uganda and globally, confirm that gender based violence has serious consequences especially for girls’ and women physical, sexual and mental health as well as implications for the economic and social wellbeing of families and communities in Uganda. This is among our priority areas we promote harmony in our country through initiation of various community projects at different levels so that people live a violent free environment. We mobilize and sensitize the public and leaders about peace and violence against women and girls. We conduct these programs through workshops, seminars, media and community forums. This is achieved in partnership with government, local and international partners.
